Annoyed by President Trump’s frequent use of Pocahontas as a derogatory nickname, the chairman of the National Indian Gaming Association on Tuesday said “we have to educate this President.”
“We cannot allow him to hold us back. We cannot let his anger and the things that he says about Indian Country push us back. If anything, we should go forward,” Ernie Stevens, Jr. said Tuesday during the National Indian Gaming Association’s (NIGA) summer legislative summit on Capitol Hill.
