After almost a decade of futility, the Florida legislature is closer than ever to a landmark agreement to comprehensively reform laws regulating the state’s unusually complex gambling industry.
Negotiators from the Florida House of Representatives, which passed a bill earlier this year to freeze gambling operations, agreed on Wednesday to make major concessions to their counterparts in the Senate who want to expand gambling.
