Florida Gambling Foes Wage Letter Campaign Over Constitutional Amendment

As lawmakers continue talks on whether to call a special session on gambling, the war of words between one of Florida’s most well-known gaming lobbyists and an anti-gambling advocate continues, according to a letter emailed to GamblingCompliance on Monday.

In his letter, John Sowinski, president of No Casinos, took issue with gaming attorney Marc Dunbar’s “exaggerated characterizations” of the impact the amendment would have on the industry, saying he and other opponents will “not fool Florida voters.”
