Finnish NGOs Want To Distance Themselves From Gambling Funds

Finnish organisations relying on backing from the country’s gambling monopoly are calling on the government to fund them directly, to distance themselves from the gambling industry’s tanking public image and dwindling revenues.

Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) have noticed that “the tide is turning and it is not good for their image to continue accepting gambling proceeds”, Janne Nikkinen a University of Helsinki Centre for Research on Addiction, Control and Governance researcher told VIXIO GamblingCompliance.
