The Finnish government has allocated €347m to social, healthcare and sports causes to compensate for a coronavirus-linked shortfall in funding at gambling monopoly Veikkaus.
The payment is part of a €2bn aid package allocated last week to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on municipalities, hospital districts and social organisations.
