Despite the skyrocketing growth of fantasy sports, the industry’s trade association is dismayed by the cool and sometimes hostile reaction of brick and mortar casinos to fantasy games.
Fantasy Sports Trade Association (FSTA) chairman Peter Schoenke described the resistance of casinos as “largely uneducated” this week during a speech at the FSTA’s summer conference in New York City.
“In our opinion, they incorrectly fear losing customers,” said Schoenke, who also is president of Roto Sports, Inc.
