Fantasy Sports Advocates Eye Ohio For Latest Legislative Win

Sponsors of a bill in Ohio to legalize and regulate daily fantasy sports (DFS) are confident their measure will be passed into law this year after picking up further support from the state’s professional sports teams.

Sponsored by Republican state representatives Jonathan Dever and Robert McColley, House Bill 132 is currently pending in the Ohio Senate’s Finance Committee after overwhelmingly passing in the House in May.

“We’re anticipating some technical changes then looking forward to a vote hopefully before Thanksgiving,” Dever told GamblingCompliance on Thursday.
