Every Day Seems Like Groundhog Day For Florida Gambling Bills

It may be the longest of longshots, but a Florida state representative is trying to resurrect the Seminole compact and make the state legislature finally do something on gambling.

For the last decade, Florida has resembled the 1993 movie “Groundhog Day,” in which comedian Bill Murray is caught in a time loop and keeps living the same day over and over again.

A new legislative session convened on Tuesday, but the same old scenario of talking the talk but not walking the walk on gambling is expected to be repeated this year.
