The regulatory net is tightening around online gambling affiliates and it is just a matter of time before they have to meet costly financial industry compliance standards, one executive has predicted.
A £300,000 financial penalty levied by the UK Gambling Commission against BGO Entertainment last week is shaking up affiliate-operator relations, with the fine being issued in part because Alderney-based BGO did not stop its affiliates from disseminating its misleading advertising.
