The esports betting industry has experienced tremendous growth in the last four years as traditional bookmakers feel more comfortable accepting wagers, but integrity concerns remain, panelists said on Thursday.
Wagers worldwide on esports are expected to reach $13bn this year, versus $5.5bn bet in 2016, David Pope, marketing director with HooYu, said during an hour-long webinar hosted by SBC on maximizing the growth in esports betting.
