Draw Game Rebound Supports Global Lottery Growth In FY2016

The World Lottery Association’s (WLA) latest global lottery data compendium shows that growth in global lottery sales rose to 6.8 percent in fiscal 2016 from 2.7 percent a year earlier, supported by a strong return to growth for North American draw-based sales. 

According to the fourth edition of the industry body’s annual review, global lottery and sports-betting sales across 144 WLA members rose 6.8 percent year-on-year in constant currency terms to $273.3bn in fiscal 2015.
