Daily fantasy sports (DFS) lobbying efforts have continued to gather momentum so far in 2017, despite the failure to pass bills to protect the legality of the industry in larger states like Texas and Florida, according to the chairman of the Fantasy Sports Trade Association.
So far in 2017, four new states have joined the growing collection of jurisdictions with laws on the books to affirmatively legalize fantasy sports, with two others knocking on the door.
Delaware became the latest state to regulate DFS last week when Governor John Carney signed a bill passed by lawmakers in late June. New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu signed a similar bill earlier this month.
