Months into Apple’s phased deployment of strict new app guidelines affecting the gambling industry, developers say they have developed a clearer picture of how to avoid costly app rejections.
U.S. tech giant Apple has begun enforcing its App Store guideline 4.2, which requires apps to have a “minimal level of nativity”, forcing sportsbooks, casinos, bingo and lotteries to offer more than a repackaged version of their websites.
This will be followed in September by the even more restrictive 4.7 guidelines.
