The Danish Online Gambling Association has called on regulators to consider stricter affiliate liability rather than focusing on gambling operators as an “easy target”.
Morten Ronde, director of the Danish Online Gambling Association, said that international operators easily use more than 100 affiliates throughout the various markets they are operating in, making it “very difficult for the operator to monitor all the activities of the affiliates”.
Consequently, the use of affiliates could become “a significant liability” for operators, he said.
