A Czech court has ended a would-be online roulette operator's five-year legal battle to be compensated CZK7bn (€265m) in lost revenue for failing to obtain a licence in 2006.
Casino Kartáč Group argued in its lawsuit against the Ministry of Finance that it was entitled to the huge cash payout, as well as interest on arrears, to cover the loss of revenue between 2006 and 2014, as online roulette became available in the Czech Republic in 2015.
Kartáč runs a number of land-based casinos across the country.
