Another sports-betting bill is headed for a governor’s desk following a Senate vote in Colorado on Friday, the latest in a two-week flurry of legislative activity after a somewhat slow start to 2019.
On the final day of the state’s legislative session, the Colorado Senate voted 27-8 to send House Bill 1327 to Governor Jared Polis’ desk. The House voted to pass the bill on April 24.
During a press conference Friday night, Polis, a Democrat, indicated he would sign the bill.
“I’m supportive of enabling the sports gaming industry to create jobs and thrive in our state,” Polis said. “I’m supportive of those efforts.”
