China has warned it is preparing to increase pressure on regional gaming jurisdictions in 2020, including against “neighbouring nations that strongly focus on gambling”, international gambling operators and cross-border online gaming interests.
Sun Lijun, vice minister of public security, told a major gathering of government and research officials in Beijing on Monday that the ministry is ramping up enforcement against gambling operations through its “four falls and one rise” campaign to crush illegal online gaming activity.
