China is paving the way for prosecution of companies and individuals soliciting Chinese nationals to gamble in foreign casinos, weaponising its extraterritorial gambling powers.
The Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, which started a new session on Tuesday, will review an amendment to the criminal code that could turn the nominal criminality of overseas gaming actors into actionable offences.
