As its executive director prepares to step down, the Poker Players Alliance (PPA) is planning to expand its advocacy efforts to include sports betting.
In an exclusive interview with GamblingCompliance on Tuesday, John Pappas said he will announce his resignation on Wednesday after leading the PPA for more than a decade.
“The organization’s funding has been reduced, and because of that, I am unable to continue on in my current capacity,” said Pappas, who will remain in his position until the end of February.
