Efforts to improve the tax structure of a new Chicago casino to make it financially viable appear to be on life support heading into the final day of the Illinois legislature’s veto session.
A new proposal was released Wednesday in the form of a Senate bill that would modify the tax structure of a newly authorized Chicago casino to apply a graduated tax similar to that imposed on other casinos in the state.
