US casinos face liabilities across a range of litigations from self-exclusion gone awry to jackpots won in error, but few areas hold such uncertainty as sexual harassment in the workplace. In cases brought over both customer and co-worker harassment, and over inappropriate dress codes, operators find little solid ground.In the United States, a jury may award huge damage amounts in sexual harassment litigation even though federal law caps damage amounts at $300,000. It is essential, therefore, that the casino has the case dismissed, usually after completion of the discovery process, by filing a motion for summary judgment.
