Camelot Attacks Boost To Society Lottery Sales Limit

Camelot has criticised a UK government decision to raise prize and sales limits for society lotteries, including the Health Lottery and People's Postcode Lottery, saying it could blur the distinction with the National Lottery and hurt returns to good causes.

The People's Postcode Lottery, however, lauded the decision to boost the annual sales limit to £50m, even though it was lower than a £100m ceiling recommended by the Gambling Commission.

The government also launched a consultation that could lead to an increase in the minimum age to play National Lottery scratchcards and instant win games to 18 from the current 16.
