Caesars’ Garber Urges Industry Unity To Legalize Internet Gaming

The casino industry must embrace social and online gaming if it is to continue meeting changes in society and customer behavior, according to Mitch Garber, CEO of Caesars Acquisition Company (CACQ).

Garber believes Steve Wynn’s decision to build the Mirage in 1989 “kept the gaming industry alive.”

“If not for the Mirage being built and Las Vegas changing to a family style resort, shopping and entertainment venue, I don’t think the Strip would exist today,” Garber told attendees during an interview at last week’s International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA) International Gaming Summit in New York.
