Bwin Faces Six Month Wait To Join Licensed Dutch Market

GVC has admitted its bwin brand will be barred from receiving a Dutch licence while it waits for the two-year timer on its regulatory breaches to tick down, if the market launches as planned in January 2021.

Speaking at this week’s Betting on Sports conference in London, GVC head of regulatory affairs David Foster confirmed that a recent €350,000 fine for bwin from the Netherlands Gambling Authority (KSA) will most likely delay its entry in the market.
