The governor of Buenos Aires province is pushing to regulate online gaming and sports betting as part of a 2019 budget law, a potential game-changer for internet gambling in Argentina.
Provisions to tax and regulate online gambling were included in a budget proposal introduced late Monday by Governor Maria Eugenia Vidal, citing the goals of “guaranteeing the protection of public order, eradicating illegal gaming and safeguarding the rights of participants in [online] games.”
