The province of Buenos Aires has adopted initial regulations and licensing criteria for internet gambling in a key step toward implementing Argentina’s first major online market.
A decree published in the province’s official gazette on Friday confirmed the approval of two sets of regulations to effectuate an internet gambling law that was passed in December.
That law called for the awarding of up to seven online licenses in Buenos Aires province, covering virtual slots, casino games, poker and sports betting.
