Brazil’s efforts to privatize its instant lottery market suffered another setback on Monday after a second bid process concluded without any takers for a 15-year exclusive license.
Officials steering the process to award the concession for so-called Lotex games confirmed that no offers had been submitted by a revised deadline of Monday afternoon, with an anticipated bid by global lottery giants IGT and Scientific Games failing to materialize.
