UK gambling trade associations must work together to influence the incoming review of the 2005 Gambling Act, according to the chair of the Betting and Gaming Council (BGC).
Speaking at the KnowNow conference on Social Responsibility for Gambling Operators on Wednesday, Brigid Simmonds said that the gambling industry “won’t get any change we want unless we improve our public image and work together”.
The BGC has already held meetings with the heads of arcade trade group BACTA, as well as bingo and gaming machine associations, and has more planned as it seeks to improve cross-sector collaboration, said Simmonds.
