Betting Sponsorship Row Kicks Off In France

The president of French football giant Olympique Lyonnais has threatened to take his club’s legal challenge into Europe after football authorities intervened to prevent Lyon’s players displaying the name of new shirt sponsors BetClic during the first game of the French season.Jean-Michel Aulas, Olympique Lyonnais’ well-known club president, hinted he was considering pursuing action before a European court after France’s professional football league banned his players from having the name of sponsors BetClic on their shirts for Saturday’s game against Le Mans.
