Malta-based online operator Betclic has appeared before an Italian court to take the first steps of its formal appeal against the state regulator’s refusal to renew its licence.
Lawyers acting for Betclic appeared last Wednesday before the Administrative Court of Rome to contest the operator’s rejection from the recent tender for 120 online concessions. A ruling is expected in the next few months.
There was no discussion or debate with the state’s lawyers before judges at the hearing. Betclic’s representatives have instead opted to trust the court’s judgment on its written complaint.
