Beijing Reboots Non-Tourism Entry Permits For Macau

  • Beijing is yet to name a restart date for the crucial Individual Visit Scheme (IVS)
  • MGM China official predicts IVS permits will flow from mid-September or earlier

In a precursor to resuming substantial gaming visitation, Beijing has reactivated non-tourism entry permits for Macau from Guangdong Province, to be followed by the rest of China in mid-August.

Guangdong officials responsible for epidemic control announced on Thursday that China’s State Council began accepting applications for non-tourism Macau permits for Guangdong residents on July 15, and that the rest of the country can apply for the same permits from August 12.
