Demand for online gambling in Asia is already being stimulated by player’s familiarity with their favourite casino brands developed over the mobile phone and the internet. But according to the Deputy Chairman of one of Macau’s leading casino operators, gaming companies looking to go online in Asia need to urgently address the concerns of China’s regulators over age verification, fraud and problem gambling.
Speaking today at the opening of this year’s Asian I-Gaming Congress at the Venetian in Macau, Francis Lui, Deputy Chairman of Galaxy Entertainment Group noted that internet gaming is fast emerging as an important consideration for land–based operators in the region, largely driven by the increasingly online nature of their customer’s lives.
