Apple received fewer requests from governments to remove gambling-related apps from its App Store during the first six months of last year.
According to the "Apple Transparency Report: Government and Private Party Requests" for January 1 to June 30, 2019, Russia and the Chinese mainland continued to see gambling-related apps dominate their government’s removal requests.
Apple removed a total of 314 apps from the App Store during the first half of 2019, following 658 requests in the previous half, split up by legal and platform policy violations from government agencies.
