American Gaming Association Announces Ad Guidelines For U.S. Sports Betting

Hoping to avoid a European-style crackdown, the American Gaming Association (AGA) on Tuesday released a new set of self-regulatory guidelines to prevent the saturation of gambling advertising and excessive marketing of legal sports betting.

The new guidelines come after Italy has enacted a sweeping ban on all gambling advertising, while operators in other markets including the UK and Sweden scramble to impose self-regulatory restrictions to counter fierce political pressures.
