Gambling legislation has returned with a vengeance in Alabama, so much so that Republican Governor Kay Ivey wants a study group to spend this year determining what should be done.
Almost as soon as the state legislature convened this month for a new session, Republican state Representative Steve Clouse, who is the chairman of the Alabama House Ways and Means General Fund Committee, unveiled plans to introduce a bill to create an Alabama state lottery to fund education.
