It was close but no cigar for sports-betting advocates last year in Louisiana but the issue is at the top of the legislative agenda again in 2020 as lawmakers prepare to convene on Monday for a new session in the state capital of Baton Rouge.
Three sports-betting bills have already been introduced for consideration before the session ends on June 1.
