Sky Betting & Gaming, 888 Holdings and Ladbrokes were all rebuked today by the UK advertising regulator for “socially irresponsible” promotions which the operators blamed on rogue affiliates.
The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) said that the affiliates’ advertisements, which improperly suggested gambling could supply an escape from depression and solve cancer-related medical bills, were nonetheless the responsibility of the operators.
