After an unspectacular start, the country’s heavily-taxed online gambling sector has been re-energised by a strong upturn in sports wagering since the 2014 football World Cup.
This summer’s Euro 2016 tournament, hosted in France, will be seen as a key opportunity for online sports-betting stakeholders to further accelerate sign-up activity and position themselves for market share gains in months and years to come.
