Regulated online gaming in New Jersey will generate an estimated $261.9m in gross gambling yield (GGY) in the market's first full year of operation, rising to $462.9m by year four, according to a new report from GamblingData.
If Atlantic City casinos are permitted to offer online casino games and poker, as expected, GamblingData estimates that online casino will account for between 50 percent and 60 percent of total GGY between Years 1 and 4, with online poker accounting for the balance.
The online casino segment, consisting of slots and table games, is expected to ramp up steadily between Years 1 and 4, implying a sustained period of new-customer capture for operators.
