  • Harry Ashton
    Harry is a solicitor with extensive litigation and legal research experience who is admitted to practice in Australia and England. He is responsible for managing Gambling Compliance’s legal research team which is made up of 7 lawyers from across the globe as well as supervising and drafting regulatory reports and research projects. He has overseen a number of customised research projects - ranging from due diligence reports on specific markets, submissions for government inquiries, and comparative studies for both government and industry participants. He recently co-authored the ‘European Online Gambling Study 2009’, a white paper released by GamblingCompliance.
  • James Kilsby
    James is a Senior analyst, and has worked for GamblingCompliance since completing an MA in Latin American History and Politics in 2006. A fluent Spanish and Portuguese speaker, James takes a particular interest in the Spanish and South American gambling markets, but equally enjoys covering the regulatory implications of political and legal developments in Europe, North America and throughout the world. Since joining GamblingCompliance, James has moderated a debate on gambling addiction and public policy at the European Parliament in Brussels and has interviewed senior gambling industry executives and regulators from major European, Asian and Latin American jurisdictions
  • Laurie Korpi
    Laurie qualified and was admitted as a lawyer in Sydney, Australia. Laurie contributes to the international regulatory content of the site through writing, research, and analysis. Laurie has represented GamblingCompliance at gambling conferences, seminars and a parliamentary committee hearing in Ukraine where he spoke on the gambling regulatory framework in a number of EU countries. Laurie has co-authored GamblingCompliance's European Gambling Study 2009, 'The Russian Federation - A Gaming Market About To Fold?" report among other research reports.
  • Francois Peglau
    Francois is a lawyer specialized in international taxation with 8 years in experience in this area. Before coming to the United Kingdom, he worked in BDO and Deloitte&Touche Peru´s office, working as a tax manager in this last company. In 2008 he finished a Master in Law and Taxation at the London School of Economics, where he was awarded with the Pump Court Prize in Taxation. Francois is responsible of researching and writing regulatory content on the site related to Spanish-speaking jurisdictions and taxation.
  • Patrice Rodrigue
    Patrice is a qualified lawyer in Canada. He trained as a Crown prosecutor and worked for the City of Montreal before joining a commercial litigation firm. Prior to joining GamblingCompliance, he advised a Canadian entertainment company in its joint venture with a Las Vegas corporation. Patrice also represented Canada’s largest media conglomerate in libel actions brought against its newspapers and radio stations. Patrice holds a Master of Science degree from Oxford University where he specialised in the study of Asian trademark counterfeiting.  He also holds an LLM in Intellectual Property Law from the Queen Mary University of London and a LLB in Civil Law from Universite Laval in Quebec City, Canada.
  • Elizabeth Cronan
    Elizabeth is a US-trained lawyer admitted to practice in the state of Minnesota.  She received her Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, having also studied international law with an emphasis on British and European Union law at University College London in England.  Elizabeth joined GamblingCompliance in mid-2008 and is responsible for researching and writing regulatory content, with a particular emphasis on state, federal and tribal-level regulations in the US gaming market.
  • Andrew Gellatly
    Andrew is a writer and journalist with an extensive background covering technology, gambling and sport. He wrote the Financial Times’s most recent special report on the global gaming industry and is a regular FT contributor on sport, gaming and technology for FT Digital Business. He was also the founding editor of Sport Betting Update – a weekly international e-mail newsletter published by Press Association Sports, a contributor to Casino Review and Betting Business magazines and author of ATE’s market intelligence report Russia: Opportunities in Gaming (2005). Before these projects he worked as a new media analyst with SportBusiness Group (2000-2001) where his consulting included new media projects for Premier League football clubs, European sports content websites and interactive TV gambling application developers.
